The company specialises in the repair and uncrushing of all metals, including the replacement of damaged armatures. Plowden & Smith is experienced in the recasting and repatination of antique and modern bronzes, and also the cleaning and removal of encrustation from ancient bronzes and the treatment for 'bronze disease'. The company is also able to make electrotypes and small castings including the replacement of missing furniture fittings and decorative metal fittings.
